Same Day Relines

Relines are the routine addition to your dentures which help ensure that your dentures fit and function properly. A reline is usually required every 6 months to a year, but can vary greatly. It is encouraged that you receive half yearly checkups to ensure that your dentures are fitting and working correctly. These checkups can also help lengthen the lifespan of your dentures. Here at JJ Denture Design we offer same day reline services for peace of mind.

A reline is when acrylic is added to your current denture using specific techniques in order to restore the full ability and fit of your dentures. Relining a denture helps add life to your denture by restoring its fit, feel, function and appearance.

A reline is required when your current dentures are not fitting correctly in your mouth. This can be caused by the shape of your mouth changing due to things such as age, change in diet, and weight gain/loss to name a few. Symptoms can include trapped food, dentures that do not fit properly, sore spots and irritation where your dentures should fit naturally.

Sometimes the need for a reline can be hard to see without professional help. It is therefore recommended that you get half yearly checkups to see how your dentures are fitting and to determine what needs to be done to make your dentures last longer.

At JJ Denture Design we have an onsite laboratory which allows us to return your dentures to you on the same day as your appointment..

Same Day Denture Repair

A repair at JJ Denture Design is done in our on-site laboratory, ensuring that you receive your denture back on the same day as your appointment. This gives you peace of mind in knowing that your denture is repaired correctly, with the use of only the best available materials.

At our on-site laboratory your denture will be repaired using only the best materials available. Dentures are traditionally repaired by replacing and heat curing the acrylic in the broken area. This helps make the denture look as good as new and ensures strength is restored to the denture.

A denture repair can take anywhere from an hour to a days work to repair. This can vary on the severity of the breakage and what needs to be done to fix it. It is also dependent on the time it takes for the acrylic to cure and restore strength to the denture. More advanced repairs such as reattaching or replacing teeth, wires or clasps may require impressions to help repair the denture accurately.

Depending on the severity of your denture breakage you may be required to make an appointment to ensure that we fix the denture in the most accurate way possible. Breakages such as cracks down the middle and snaps may change the way the denture fits in your mouth and may require an impression to correct the issue. We recommend that you contact us on (07) 5443 1621 so that we may assess what the best option is for you.
